What we do (document destruction):

Destroy documents, which contain your confidential, but outdated vital records. The shredded paper containing your confidential material is baled and sent to the paper manufacturing plant, where it is turned back into paper products.

What to shred (private information):

If confidential records are outdated, they should be destroyed by shredding, especially if they contain information, which in the wrong hands could lead to Identity Theft, Credit Card Fraud or otherwise hurt your business, yourself, your employees or your customers. Document destruction is the right thing to do with documents which contain social security numbers, personal information, account numbers, patient information, etc. These documents include medical records, tax records, credit applications, bank records and any documents with account numbers on them.

Why shred (identity theft and government regulations):

Besides protecting yourself and others from the harm of Fraud and Identity Theft, there are a number of laws which require records destruction. In some cases, state governments have even more encompassing laws than these federal laws.

Each member of the Document Destruction Companies of America can set up a program custom designed to help you meet your document destruction needs. The programs for paper shredding are normally classified in one of two categories, periodic destruction services such as monthly, weekly, etc or purge document shredding service.
