How We Share Your Information With Service Providers

DDC America is a lead referral service. We do not perform shredding or records destruction ourselves. When you submit a quote request, the information you provide is transmitted to our partner network and to up to five (5) service providers who may contact you about your request. We receive a fee when we refer a qualified request. Under some state privacy laws, including California law, that transfer may be treated as a sale or sharing of personal information. You can opt out at any time using the details in the section below.

The categories of personal information involved are: identifiers (name, postal code, telephone number, email address), commercial information (the service you requested and the volume or frequency involved), and internet activity information (pages viewed on this site and the source that referred you). We do not collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identification numbers, precise geolocation, or biometric data, and we do not ask you for them.

Your Privacy Choices and Opt-Out Rights

You may ask us to stop selling or sharing your personal information, to tell you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. To make any of these requests, contact us using the details under Contact Us below and tell us which request you are making. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights, and we will not charge you a different price or provide a different level of service because you did.

We will confirm receipt of a request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days. If we need more time we will tell you why and how much longer we need, up to a further 45 days. Before we act on a request to know or delete we may need to verify your identity, which usually means matching the contact details you give us against what we already hold.

An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if they provide written permission signed by you.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act gives you the rights described above: the right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose and sell or share; the right to delete it; the right to correct inaccurate information; the right to opt out of its sale or sharing; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted without a right to limit.

We retain the information you submit for as long as needed to service your request and to keep records of the referral, and typically no longer than 36 months from your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is required by law.

Residents of the EEA and United Kingdom

This website is intended for users in the United States and our services are offered only in the United States. If you access this site from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, please note the following.

Our legal basis for processing the information you submit through a quote form is the performance of steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in operating a referral service. Where we rely on consent, such as for any non-essential cookies, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Personal data submitted through this site is stored and processed in the United States, as described under Consent to Processing above.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies. A strictly necessary session cookie keeps your quote request together as you move between steps of the form. It expires when you close your browser and it is not used to track you or to build a profile. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because the site cannot function without them.

If we later add analytics or advertising technologies, those are treated as non-essential and will only load after you accept them in our cookie notice. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time by selecting Cookie settings in the footer of any page.

This site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those font files from a Google server and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No cookie is set by that request.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie will prevent the quote form from working correctly.

Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit a Do Not Track signal. There is no common industry standard for how to interpret it, and this site does not currently respond to it. We do describe your opt-out rights above and we honor requests made through them.

Data Security and Retention

We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you submit, including encrypted connections between your browser and this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep quote request information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy.
